2012 Sandia Excellence in Science and Engineering Research Fellowship - Marat Kulakhmetov

Congratulations to Marat Kulakhmetov who has won the 2012 Sandia Excellence in Science and Engineering Research Fellowship from Sandia National Laboratory. The doctoral fellowship is renewable for up to 3 years and is awarded to doctoral students who are pursuing research in Sandia’s technology areas of interests and are US citizens.
The goal of this fellowship program is to encourage innovation in science-based, multidisciplinary research in areas of critical national interest.
Marat’s faculty advisor is Professor Alina Alexeenko and he will work with her and research mentors from Sandia on developing a non-equilibrium chemistry model that will be used in simulations of high enthalpy, hypersonic flows.
