What are your Officer role + duties in the Beta Tau Fraternity?
As the president of Beta Tau, I will speak at the Beta Tau End of Year Banquet. I will lead the Engineering Your Major Events for the current freshmen in First Year Engineering. I will help the executive board plan events for CEM and Beta Tau members, and I will also help plan alumni events.
What Events do Beta Tau contribute to in CEM?
Beta Tau is involved in recruitment for the Construction Engineering and Management Program. We host social events where students can network with alumni, faculty, and other students such as ice cream socials and games on the patio.
What have you learned in Beta Tau that will be useful in your internships / future career?
Beta Tau has helped me gain confidence in public speaking. It has helped me learn how to network and gain connections with both alumni and faculty.
What benefits do you have being a Beta Tau leader/member?
Being in Beta Tau has helped me gain connections with alumni and other students. I have become way more connected with the CEM program as a whole and made some great friends with upperclassmen. Beta Tau has given me opportunities to help recruit for our program and gain experience in leadership roles.
