CEM professor Dr. Tom Iseley is leading the industry recently named a pioneer in trenchless technology and was awarded the Certificate of Appointment as the Honorary President of the International Trenchless Technology Institute in Nanyang, China; for a 5-year term, presented by Chairman Zhu Shixi, Secretary of the CPC Nanyang Municipal Committee.
Dr. Tom Iseley recently visited China to present lectures at Sun Yat-Sen University, the Zhuhai Water Company, and assist the government in Nanyang in establishing the International TT Research Park. Nanyang, China, is constructing a large industrial park to attract technology developers, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, etc. The industrial park will host the first-ever Trenchless Technology (TT) Research Park and the Buried Asset Management Institute-International (BAMI-I) China Branch.
Iseley has also long been known as an underground infrastructure educator through his work at Louisiana Tech University and the Trenchless Technology Center (TTC), Purdue University, and through organizations like the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and its Utility Engineering & Surveying Institute (UESI) and the North American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT).
