What is the date for Purdue Space Day (PSD) 2023?

Saturday, October 28, 2023.

Where is PSD held?

Purdue Space Day will be held in-person on Purdue's West Lafayette campus.

What time does PSD start?

The In-Person event will begin at approximately 8:00 am.

What time does PSD end?

The day will finish at approximately 4:00 pm.  Participants must be picked up by 4:30 pm from their homeroom.

What time zone is Purdue on?

Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)

How do I sign up my child for PSD 2023?

Registration for PSD 2022 will be held online. It will open August 1, 2023 and close on September 8, 2023.  A lottery will be held on September 11, 2023.

How much does PSD cost?

Purdue Space Day is FREE. This is made possible through donations and grants. If you’d like to know how you can help support Purdue Space Day, please email

How do I know that my child has a place at Purdue Space Day?

You will receive an email with confirmation that you signed up for the lottery.  The lottery will be held on September 11, 2023 and notification of acceptance will be emailed shortly after.  Additional information will be sent out in October. If you have any questions, please email

Can I participate for part of the day?

No. You should plan to participate all day.

When will my child receive their bags, activity booklets, and nametags?

Materials will be handed out in participant homerooms on October 28th.

What time and where is the astronaut presentation?

It is at 9:15 am in Elliott Hall of Music.
