Rosanne Carmean is a collaborative leader focused on empowering teams to innovate solutions and seize new opportunities. As a lifelong learner, Rosanne is willing to rise to the challenge and embrace difficult tasks that foster personal and professional growth. Rosanne is currently the Fuel Reliability and Independent Methods Director for the Constellation Nuclear Fleet of 21 nuclear power units. Her prior role served as Site Engineering Director at Constellation's Peach Bottom Clean Energy Center.
Rosanne has 20+ years of nuclear experience with a diverse background of technical and leadership experience. In her current position, Rosanne has overall responsibility for ensuring nuclear fuel integrity and reliability is maintained during fuel fabrication, transportation, shipping and handling, and operation. This is achieved through fuel design advancements including Accident Tolerant Fuel (ATF) features and station equipment and debris management. She also oversees Fleet Reactor Engineering governance and oversight as well as the development, licensing, and implementation of In-House Core Monitoring, Core Design and Safety Analysis Methods.
Prior to her current position, Rosanne was the Site Engineering Director at Peach Bottom Clean Energy Center. In this role, she was responsible for plant design, equipment reliability and strategic asset management for the dual unit BWR. Previous roles include Senior Manager of Site Training, providing principal training support for day-to-day site operations and developing competent personnel who can safely operate, maintain, and improve the performance of the plant. She has also filled the roles of Nuclear Fuels Director of Core Design, Senior Manager, Pressurized Water Reactor Core Design, Manager of Fuel Reliability, Spent Fuel and Decommissioning Senior Engineer, and Reactor Engineer at LaSalle Clean Energy Center.
Rosanne is an active member in various employee resource groups and has championed several development programs. Rosanne has served as Constellation's Network of Constellation Women Kennett Square Chapter Treasurer, Women in Nuclear Kennett Square Chapter Sponsor, Meals on Wheels volunteer for the Coatesville area senior citizens, active member of Chester County's 100 Women of Downingtown, and Board Member for Mighty Writer's, a non-profit organization dedicated to bilingual outreach and educational programs. Rosanne has a passion for inspiring others to do their best by focusing on their strengths and being the connector that can align their interests to organizational opportunities. In this capacity, she has supported numerous mentoring programs through WIN and is an active mentor for several aspiring female and male professionals.
Rosanne earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. She also earned a Senior Reactor Operator Certification in 2019. In 2010, Rosanne completed an international fellowship at the World Nuclear University Summer Institute, where she studied global nuclear technology & energy programs, and became educated on the challenges facing the global nuclear industry. Rosanne completed the Nuclear Executives of Tomorrow (NEXT) program in 2023, a 12-month certification program focused on executive leadership development for female leaders in the nuclear power industry.
Rosanne was born and raised in Chicago. She currently lives in Downingtown, Pennsylvania with her husband Andrew, raising their three daughters. Rosanne enjoys hiking, cooking, and is an avid reader.
