Jennifer Uhle is senior vice president of the Technical & Regulatory Services Division at the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI). Prior to joining NEI in 2018, she served as director of Reactor Safety Programs at Jensen Hughes, where she worked on advanced reactors, thermal-hydraulics and regulatory affairs.

Before entering the private sector in 2016, Uhle spent 23 years at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, serving in a variety of leadership positions, including deputy director of the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research, deputy director of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation and director of the Office of New Reactors.

Uhle earned both her BS and PhD degrees in nuclear engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), specializing in reactor systems and design. In 2011, she served as the U.S. representative on the International Atomic Energy Agency's first fact-finding mission to Fukushima. She has also served on the advisory committee for MIT's Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering and on the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine committee focused on a U.S. fusion pilot program.
