Aaron Totemeier

Principal Technical Leader for Nuclear Fuels
Aaron Totemeier is a principal technical leader for nuclear fuels at EPRI where he leads strategic R&D initiatives for advanced fuels supporting both the existing and future nuclear fleet.
He chairs EPRI's Collaborative Research on Advanced Fuel Technology (CRAFT) steering committee and facilitates the Advanced Reactor Fuels Workshop supporting the development, qualification and commercialization of next-generation nuclear fuel technologies.
Totemeier brings nearly 20 years of leadership in nuclear technology development with a focus on technology commercialization. Prior to EPRI, he founded 1932 Advisors, providing strategic and technical advisory services to nuclear technology developers. He also served as vice president, Fuel Cycle Technology & Fuel Fabrication at Lightbridge Corporation over a nearly 15-year career. In that capacity he led the company's technology deployment activities, and supported investor and government relations, corporate governance and M&A activities.
He holds a BS and MS in nuclear engineering from Purdue University, and a PhD in nuclear engineering from Texas A&M University.
Now residing in Houston, Texas, Totemeier lives with his wife and enjoys traveling and philanthropy. He is passionate about mentoring and supporting future STEM leaders.
