Carlos Moreno is the Cost Transformation & Continuous Improvement Director for Kimberly-Clark's Latin American Operations. He received his BS in Industrial Engineering from Purdue in 1994 and his MBA from Thunderbird, where he was a Fulbright Scholar, in 2000. Carlos has been with Kimberly-Clark twenty years in the Operations and Supply Chain functions. He has been a pioneer in optimization systems and has played key roles in the company's rapid expansion and corporate citizenship in neighboring communities. His career has been characterized by continuous growth in strategic and executional aspects across several geographies. He has recruited, developed and motivated top performing teams that share his passion for excellence and integrity.
In addition to his IE practice, Mr. Moreno is a regular contributor to several educational causes in El Salvador, promoting science, technology, engineering and math. He is an enthusiastic robotics fan who helped form a rural elementary school club in Sitio del Nino close to San Salvador, which won against major odds, international recognition in Colombia and Germany. Carlos enjoys analytics, cross cultural communication and traveling. He has been a member of the Purdue President's Council since 2003.
