IDES Concentrations

The Interdisciplinary Engineering Studies (IDES) program offers two (2) focused concentrations.

You must complete the requirements of Purdue's First-Year Engineering Program before being admitted into the IDES program.
Upon entry, you will determine which academic pathway best suits your educational and career objectives.
You will be allowed to take courses outside the College of Engineering.
Upon completing all degree requirements (dependent upon your chosen pathway), you will graduate with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree.
With strong academic performance, you may progress to graduate school or choose to pursue a career in industry or other sectors of the global economy.
