WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Davidson School of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University saw strong engagement from alumni, students, faculty and friends during the 2026 Purdue Day of Giving, a 24-hour, university-wide campaign celebrating philanthropy and Boilermaker pride.

During the April 29 event, the school received 118 gifts totaling $348,874. Throughout the day, units across Purdue participated in leaderboard competitions and hourly challenges, which amplify impact and unlock additional funding. Chemical Engineering received $486 from the donation and Beat Last Year leaderboards.

Gifts to the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering support key priorities across the school, including advancing research through the Professor Sangtae Kim Fund for Capital Intensive and Biomolecular Innovation, and expanding student access through the R. Neal Houze Scholarship Endowment. Together, these areas enable hands-on learning, fuel innovation in emerging fields, and help ensure that talented students can pursue a Purdue engineering education.

“Purdue Day of Giving highlights the strength and dedication of our Chemical Engineering community,” said Dave Corti, Interim Head. “Every gift, for which we are grateful, contributes to the experiences that prepare our students to become leaders of tomorrow. And to support the high impact of research performed by our faculty and students that address our current global challenges.”

Purdue Day of Giving is held annually and encourages alumni, friends and partners worldwide to make an impact in just one day, advancing programs and initiatives across the university.
