Kaustabh Sarkar awarded Leslie Bottorff Fellowship

Davidson School of Chemical Engineering PhD student Kaustabh Sarkar received a Leslie Bottorff Fellowship for his research in delivering localized chemoradiotherapy for head and neck cancers. Sarkar is advised by Purdue Chemical Engineering Professor You-Yeon Won.

Dr. Xiaoping Bao wins 2019 LG Chem Global Innovation Award

Dr. Xiaoping Bao, Assistant Professor in the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering, is winner of the 2019 LG Chem Global Innovation Contest award for his research in human-induced pluripotent stem cells, or hiPSCs. Dr. Bao's research proposal, 'Biomanufacturing Universal Natural Killer Cells from hiPSCs for Immunotherapy', will explore the potential of natural killer (NK) cells, a type of innate immune cells, from hiPSCs for cancer treatment.

Purdue provides access to educational resources written by Engineering faculty

Purdue University is developing a first-of-its-kind collection of engineering educational resources available online, for free or low-cost, to anyone around the world. Purdue Engineering Open Bytes™ will include high-quality textbooks, case studies, monographs and lecture notes written by College of Engineering faculty members. Jan-Anders Mansson, PhD, Distinguished Professor of Materials Engineering and Chemical Engineering, and co-director of the Indiana Next Generation Manufacturing Competitiveness Center (IN-MaC), has one of the first books planned, "Sports Industry Technology Innovation."
