Oluwatoni “Toni” Adetayo, an undergraduate student in Chemical Engineering, recently received a 2015-16 AIChE Minority Scholarship Award from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), sponsored by the Minority Affairs Committee (MAC).  

The $1,000 scholarship is presented annually to selected AIChE undergraduate student members who are part of an underrepresented minority group. This year, 18 students received the scholarship; two were from Purdue.

 Selection is based on academic record, participation in an AIChE student chapter, and professional or civic activities. Consideration also is given to the applicant’s career objectives and plans, and financial need.
