Shinbeom Lee received one of two 2015 Doh Wonsuk Memorial Awards from the U.S. Chapter of the Korean Institute of Chemical Engineering.

The award is given each year to one or two Korean students studying in Chemical Engineering doctoral programs in the United States. It is based on number of publications and presentations at national and international conferences, recognition by the professional community, recommendation letters, and department and community service.

Lee is a doctoral student advised by Dr. Arvind Varma. His research focuses on the bubbly flow regime enhancement of trickle bed reactor performance with acetophenone hydrogenation.
