Alumna Roberta Ressler Honored for Efforts to Feed the World

Roberta Ressler (BSChE ’89) was selected as a 2015 Woman of Influence by the Indianapolis Business Journal.

Roberta Ressler (BSChE ’89) is one of 20 women from diverse fields who are shaping the state's business, educational, artistic and philanthropic landscape, according to the Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ).

Ressler is Research and Development Director for Dow AgroSciences where she and a team are working to provide tools that help farmers solve the problems of hunger and food security. She leads product development for crop protection, an R&D department with labs in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia/Pacific.

Closer to home, she was a member of the Purdue-Dow AgroSciences Joint Steering Team. That team partnered with the College of Engineering to explore collaborations and research opportunities to strengthen the bond between the University and the company.

The IBJ Woman of Influence Award is bestowed upon Indiana women nominated for their professional excellence and leadership in their careers and community service. Ressler was recently honored with this award at a breakfast with Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann.
