Graduate Student Emre Gencer Elected to Receive GPRI Fellowship

Emre Gencer

Emre Gencer has been selected to receive a Graduate Research Fellowship sponsored by the Purdue Global Policy Research Institute. This is a flexible fellowship (1-6 months) that supports graduate student research related to the completion of their thesis or dissertation. It is intended to support research that furthers the mission of GPRI and includes a policy component, global scope, and interdisciplinary perspective, inclusively.


Purdue University's Global Policy Research Institute (GPRI) is a faculty driven, student-focused institute established in June 2010. GPRI's role is to increase the visibility of Purdue's research findings and enhance the impact of the University's discoveries for the common good. GPRI strives to connect Purdue researchers and their research to policy and decision makers addressing global issues.


Emre Gencer started as a Graduate Student in Chemical Engineering in August 2011 under the guidance of Professor Rakesh Agrawal. He holds a BS degree from Bogazici University, Turkey.
