Chris Bowman (BS ChE ‘88, PhD ’91) was named a Distinguished Professor at the University of Colorado.  Dr. Bowman has been a faculty member in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of  Colorado - Boulder since January 1992, and has held the James and Catherine Patten Endowed Chair since July 2007.

The University of Colorado extends the title of “distinguished professor” to recognize the outstanding contributions of faculty members to their academic disciplines.  Currently, only 65 professors within the University of Colorado System hold the title of distinguished professor.
