Class of 1961 Reunion
The BSChE Class of 1961 held a 50th Reunion on campus during Alumni Weekend of September 16-17, 2011.
Fourteen attendees participated in a breakfast with the Purdue Alumni Association and a full day of follow-on activities in the School of Chemical Engineering. Our Alumni listened to presentations from the School Head and other faculty members and toured research and instructional facilities. The Class had the opportunity to learn of the School's history since their graduation, the current curricula, and the exciting future that Chemical Engineering can help bring subsequent generations. The day concluded with dinner and Glee Club entertainment at the Purdue Memorial Union.
The following day the group attended a football game where a Boilermaker victory added to the fun of the reunion.
As those in attendance from the BSChE Class of 1961 left for home, all agreed that the Alumni Weekend was time well spent -- providing:
- An opportunity to reconnect with Classmates.
- An opportunity to learn of the progress and potential for both the School and the University.
- An opportunity to reflect, at the site where it all started, on the impact the School and the University has had on all their lives.
