Assistant Professor Bryan Boudouris received an AFOSR Young Investigator Research Program Award.

Assistant Professor Bryan Boudouris received an Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) Young Investigator Research Program award for “Molecular Design and Device Application of Radical Polymers for Improved Charge Extraction in Organic Photovoltaic Cells.”  The award will be $120K per year for 3 years.

The objective of this program is to foster creative basic research in science and engineering, enhance early career development of outstanding young investigators, and increase opportunities for the young investigators to recognize the Air Force mission and the related challenges in science and engineering.

Bryan Boudouris joined the School of Chemical Engineering in August 2011. He holds a BS from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2004), a PhD from University of Minnesota (2009) and was a post doctoral research associate at the University of California at Berkeley for two years before joining Purdue.
