Bryan Boudouris Received a DARPA 2012 Young Faculty Award
Assistant Professor Bryan Boudouris has been selected to receive a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) 2012 Young Faculty Award for his proposal titled “Radical Polymers for Nanostructured, Next Generation Thermoelectric Devices.” This is a two year award, for total ~$300,000 in research funds.
The DARPA Young Faculty Award (YFA) program identifies and engages rising research stars in junior faculty positions at U.S. academic institutions and introduces them to DoD needs and DARPA’s program development process. The YFA program focuses on untenured faculty within 5 years of appointment to a tenure track position, emphasizing those without prior DARPA funding.
Bryan Boudouris is receiving this Young Faculty Award just a few weeks after he was named recipient of an Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) Young Investigator Research Award, for $120,000/year for 3 years. Bryan joined the School of Chemical Engineering in August 2011.
