Alumni Ajay Joshi and Kyle Kostrowski Win Tallow Chandler's Awards from BP

Ajay Joshi (PhD 2007) and Kyle Kostrowski (BS 2004, PhD 2008) won Tallow Chandler awards in two consecutive years.

Dr. Ajay Joshi (PhD ChE 2007), Research Engineer in Petrochemicals Technology at BP, was one of the winners of the prestigious Tallow Chandler's award from BP in 2011.  Every year up to five employees (less than thirty years old) from the entire BP global corporation receive this recognition for their outstanding performance with the company and contributions to their local communities.  Now in their 35th year, the awards are run jointly with the Tallow Chandlers, one of the City of London's centuries-old 108 Livery companies.

Dr. Kyle P. Kostroski (PhD ChE 2008, BS ChE 2004), Mid-Term Planner at BP Whiting Refinery, was the recipient of the Tallow Chandlers award from BP in 2010. In addition to receiving a Tallow Chandlers medal, Kyle also received the Silver Candlesticks award as the winner for his work in separations process development.
