Two Purdue ChE Students and Two Recent Alumni Receive NSF Graduate Fellowships

Jason Wu, Senior; Sara Yohe, Graduate Student; Laura Quock (BS 2009) and Talal Al-Housseiny (BS 2007) are among the recipients of the National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowships announced in April 2010.

Jason Wu, Senior, Sara Yohe, Graduate Student; Talal Al-Housseiny (BS 2007) and Laura Quock (BS 2009) are among the recipients of National Science Foundation Fellowships announced in April 2010.

Jason Wu is a ChE Senior who will graduate in May 2010. He will pursue a PhD in Chemical Engineering at University of California-Berkeley.

Sara Yohe joined the School of Chemical Engineering as a Graduate Student in fall 2008. She works under the direction of Professors Rakesh Agrawal, Nick Delgass, and Fabio Ribeiro. Her research interests are catalytic studies on the hydrodeoxygenation of biomass and model compounds. She is currently working on a novel biomass fast hydropyrolysis/hydrodeoxygenation process for the efficient production of liquid transportation fuels.

Talal Al-Housseiny graduated with a BS in Chemical Engineering in 2007. He is currently at Princeton University pursuing a PhD in Chemical Engineering.

Laura Quock graduated with a BS in Chemical Engineering in 2009. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of California-Berkeley.
