"Joe Pekny wears many hats at Purdue.  He is the director of the e-Enterprise Center at Discovery Park, is a professor and university scholar in the School of Chemical Engineering, and is founder of the startup company Advanced Process Combinatorics - which works with scientists to enhance cancer-related radiation therapy.  Pekny is often described by colleagues as enthusiastic, positive and inclusive.  In his 17 years ar Purdue, he has shown through his work exactly what Purdue is all about.  Pekny's dedication and outstanding work were recognized and rewarded with President Jische's One Brick Higher Award on April 19, 2007 during the President's Forum."
