ChemE Kids Day is a FREE VIRTUAL event on Saturday, March 20, designed to provide students in grades 3 - 5 with the opportunity to learn about chemical engineering and science by participating in age-appropriate activities. This event is hosted by Omega Chi Epsilon, the national chemical engineering honor society, and runs from 11 am - 2 pm.
The event will consist of a short presentation from a Purdue faculty guest speaker and five interactive experiments with Purdue Chemical Engineering students. We will be performing experiments with common household products and will provide a list of experiment materials needed upon registration.
This free event is directed toward 3rd-5th grade students, but we are not limiting it to that age range.
Time: 11 am - 2 pm
Parental supervision is strongly encouraged throughout the event to help with experiments and any technical difficulties.
