Research Interests

Dr. Wang leads the Digital Twin Lab, which aims to build digital replicas of real-world entities based on AI, big data, cloud/edge computing, and mixed reality. One particular application domain of his research is connected and automated vehicles, where he also gained related experience from his last role as a Principal Researcher at Toyota Motor North America. Besides actively publishing peer-reviewed papers, Dr. Wang has also filed more than 50 patent applications in the U.S., Japan, and China.
