Sarah Adsit receives Edward J. Cox Memorial Transportation Scholarship Award

CE master's student Sarah Adsit has been named a recipient of the 2020-2021 Edward J. Cox Memorial Transportation Scholarship Award. The award is presented annually by the Indiana Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers.

Lyles School of Civil Engineering graduate student Sarah Adsit has been named a recipient of the 2020-2021 Edward J. Cox Memorial Transportation Scholarship Award. The award is presented annually by the Indiana Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers. The main purpose of the award is to encourage students to consider Transportation Engineering/Planning in their studies and career aspirations, and to provide partial financial support for tuition and fees to students who have demonstrated an interest and are likely to work in the transportation field.

Sarah is a first-year master's student at Purdue University, working under Dr. Nadia Gkritza. Her current research interest regards public acceptance of alternative intersection and interchange designs. Prior to coming to Purdue, she completed her bachelor's degree in civil engineering at Penn State, along with a minor in music. She is a current member of the Purdue Student Chapter of ITE. Aside from her engineering work, Sarah is also a member of Purdue Bands and Orchestras concert ensembles and an avid reader.
