Isaiah Mwamba awarded 2020 Eisenhower Graduate Fellowship

CE master's student Isaiah Mwamba has been awarded a fellowship by the Dwight David Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship Program (DDETFP) for the 2020-2021 academic year. The DDETFP is administered by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Universities and Grants Program and awards competitive fellowships to students in transportation-related disciplines.

Isaiah is a second-year M.S. student under the supervision of Dr. Samuel Labi. He received a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from New York University Abu Dhabi in 2018, and intends to pursue a Ph.D. after completing his M.S. program. His research interests include the development of next generation transportation infrastructure systems, particularly in the areas of AI and digital technology applications, infrastructure management, and highway finance. Isaiah’s M.S. research is addressing the impacts of vehicle autonomy, connectivity and electric propulsion on highway revenues, expenditures and equity.  Isaiah is actively involved in various student organizations including the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and Chi Epsilon National Civil Engineering Honor Society.
