CE grad students place 2nd, 3rd in IGIC Emerging Professional Research Competition

Congratulations to CE grad students Gaia Cervini and Lena Azimi for placing 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the Indiana Geographic Information Council's first-ever Emerging Professional Research Competition.

To celebrate Indiana's talented young GIS scholars and emerging professionals, the Indiana Geographic Information Council invited students to submit abstracts for IGIC's first-ever Emerging Professional Research Competition. From the 15 submissions, 11 students competed in a live competition via Zoom on December 19.

Gaia Cervini placed 2nd in the competition with her research abstract titled, Exploring the Relationship Between Extreme Urban Temperatures and Electric Vehicle Adoption in California.

Lena Azimi placed 3rd in the competition with her research abstract titled, Crop Residue Estimation Using SAR
