B.S. Purdue University, Civil Engineering (Structures) 1999
Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications
- Professional Engineer, State of Illinois
- Structural Engineer, State of Illinois
Teaching Activity
- CE 479 Design of Building Components and Systems. This course focuses on structural engineering design of buildings where students learn the fundamentals of gravity and lateral load paths, how to design building components made of various materials, and how these assembled components together, form building systems.
- EPCS Engineers Without Borders. Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) courses create a vertical project track under which students work in multidisciplinary teams on long-term engineering-based design projects. The Engineers Without Borders (EWB) course section allows students to obtain academic credit for their involvement in EWB-USA projects, both international and national.
- CE 498 Civil Engineering Design Project (Senior Design). This course involves students working in teams on the planning, design, and analysis of a real-world civil engineering project. Students work on teams to develop multi-phase engineering reports and presentations.
- ENGR103 Smart Cities. This course introduces students to the technology and innovation that positively impacts the future of our communities while showcasing career aspirations and opportunities from industry and research partners.
