CE 59700 – Infrastructure Analytics

  • Catalog description: i. This course is highly interactive and will require active participation. Students will be assigned topics to lead class discussions including acquisition of relevant data and analysis required for different infrastructure projects.
  • Prerequisites: Graduate student or permission of instructor
  • Course status: Technical elective

Specific Goals for the course:

  • Student learning outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course the student will learn:
    • identification of metrics for analysis
    • data gathering techniques and tools
    • management of infrastructure data
    • techniques to resolve missing or non-existent data
    • numerical methods, limitations and accuracy

    • Outcome 1: An ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science and mathematics.

Topics:

  • Typical topics include but may include other topics: numerical methods for analysis, least squares methods, random forest data selection, ANOVA, social network analysis, and testing of data integrity.
