Congratulations to the Purdue Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Traffic Bowl Team on winning the 2024 ITE International Collegiate Traffic Bowl Grand Championship! The ITE Collegiate Traffic Bowl is an annual competition amongst ITE student chapter teams using transportation planning and engineering topics for the clues, questions, and answers. 10 teams took the stage to compete in the 15th annual ITE International Collegiate Traffic Bowl. Traffic bowl categories in this Jeopardy-style tournament included MUTCD – What’s that Sign?, Letters for Safety, and Missing Sign Words, with a Daily Double clue in each round.

After three fast-paced semi-final rounds, three district champion teams emerged as the finalists: Purdue University, New York University, and Brigham Young University. The final category was “MUTCD Uncertainty,” with the clue being “FHWA has changed their mind about the use of this sign letter font several times, most recently in 2023.” The answer was Clearview. Purdue finished as champion with the correct answer.
