CE graduate student Aishwarya Sharma received the best MS poster award at Purdue University's Computational Interdisciplinary Graduate Programs (CIGP) Fall 2023 Symposium, held November 19, 2023.

CE graduate student Aishwarya Sharma received the best MS poster award at Purdue University's Computational Interdisciplinary Graduate Programs (CIGP) Fall 2023 Symposium, held November 19, 2023. Her poster was titled, “Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis for Human-like Decision Making in Autonomous Vehicle Operations.”

Aishwarya is a second-year master’s student under the supervision of Dr. Samuel Labi. She works as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Connected and Automated Transportation. Her research also extends to projects with the Joint Transportation Research Program (JTRP) and the Build America Center. She is very enthusiastic about emerging technologies in transportation and leveraging artificial intelligence to optimize traffic flow and transportation networks. Her M.S. thesis is centered around enhancing the societal acceptance of autonomous vehicles.

Beyond research, Aishwarya actively contributes to various student organizations, currently serving as Secretary of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), Purdue University Student Chapter, and Co-chair for the Professional Development Committee of the Civil Engineering Graduate Student Advisory Council (CEGSAC).
