PhD candidate Chul Min Yeum and Professor Shirley J. Dyke have been awarded the 2015 Hojjat Adeli Award for Innovation in Computing.
This award is in recognition for the manuscript authored by them and entitled "Vision based Automated Crack Detection for Bridge Inspection” published in the top-ranked journal Computer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering in May 2015. (See: DOI: 10.1111/mice.12141)
Chul Min Yeum is a Ph.D. candidate in the Lyles School of Civil Engineering. His research interests focus on structural health monitoring, computer vision, machine learning and big data. He is currently working on the applications of computer vision in civil engineering using big data analytics.
