On August 16-17th, 22 participants from 5 nations and 12 institutions participated in a workshop to discuss how engineers can impact policies regarding the management of energy and bridge infrastructure through integration of monitoring systems.

On August 16-17th, 22 participants from 5 nations and 12 institutions participated in a workshop to discuss how engineers can impact policies regarding the management of energy and bridge infrastructure through integration of monitoring systems. Infrastructure systems facilitate basic societal functions of the nation and play a vital role in our economy. The workshop was financially supported by the Global Policy Research Institute (GPRI) at Purdue and the Curtis Professorship in the School of Civil Engineering. The workshop was co-organized by Purdue faculty from the Schools of Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computing and Information Technology, and Political Science.
