Professor Julio A. Ramirez has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of NEES, Inc. and also has been named chair of the National Technical Committee on Concrete and Masonry Structures (CCMS) of the American Society of Civl Engineers and the Structural Engineers Institute (ASCE/SEI). The first group is in charge of setting policy for the NEES consortium. The second is a committee composed of the chairs of all the joint committees between the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and the ASCE/SEI. The term is three years for the NEES committee.
