Robert Frosch named interim head of the Lyles School

Purdue University Vice Provost for Academic Facilities and Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering Professor Robert Frosch will step in as interim head of Purdue Civil and Construction Engineering for the remainder of 2026.
Frosch is a distinguished member of the CCE faculty whose research focuses on the behavior and design of structural concrete. He earned both his MS and PhD degrees from The University of Texas at Austin and has dedicated his professional work to improving concrete design and construction through the development of building codes.
His expertise and service to the profession have helped advance the safety, performance, and constructability of concrete structures. Frosch also brings a deep understanding of the school, a commitment to excellence, and a collaborative leadership style that will serve CCE well in this role. He will continue to serve as Vice Provost for Academic Facilities while serving as interim head of the school.
Frosch is stepping in for Thomas A. Page Professor of Civil Engineering Ayman Habib who served as the Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering’s interim head from Jan. 1 to July 31. During his time in this role, Habib provided steady leadership and support for the school, its faculty, staff, and students.
