Prof. Antonio Bobet has been elected as the new president of the American Rock Mechanics Association (ARMA) by its Board of Directors for the period 2013-2015. The appointment will start in June 2013 after the Association's annual Symposium.

Professor Antonio Bobet has been elected as the new president of the American Rock Mechanics Association (ARMA) by its Board of Directors for the period 2013-2015. The appointment will start in June 2013 after the Association’s annual Symposium.

The American Rock Mechanics Association includes professionals from civil engineering, mining and petroleum engineering as well as others who work or have interest in rock mechanics and geomechanics. It serves as an advocate for firms and individuals for all aspects of rock mechanics, rock engineering, and geomechanics. ARMA also serves as an information repository on the development of rock mechanics, rock engineering, and geomechanics, and promotes the development of knowledge within the field.
