The Jerry M. and Lynda T. Engelhardt Student Leadership Office
A critical space for student organizations in Hampton Hall (HAMP 2154) has been renamed the Jerry M. and Lynda T. Engelhardt Student Leadership Office. Officially dedicated on August 4, 2015, this space houses the leadership of Chi Epsilon, the Purdue student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Civil Engineering Student Advisory Council. The Engelhardts' generosity will ensure these student organizations, and the valuable leadership opportunities they provide, will always have a space to call home.
In a wonderful complement to nurturing student leadership opportunities, Jerry (BSCE '65, MISA '66) and Lynda also created the Engelhardt Scholarship in Civil Engineering. Student affordability remains a priority of both the School and Purdue University. The Lyles School of Civil Engineering is grateful for the support of Jerry and Lynda Engelhardt in helping to provide a more accessible education to Purdue's civil engineering students.
The Engelhardt's thoughtful and forward-looking gifts will continue the great work of our students and will create a lasting legacy that will support the education of promising young people for generations to come.
