Purdue Civil Engineering Burke Graduate Program ranked #7 in the nation

The Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering’s Christopher B. and Susan S. Burke Graduate Program in Civil Engineering has been recognized as a top 10 graduate program in the country.
U.S. News & World Report has released its national rankings of graduate programs for 2026 with Purdue Civil and Construction Engineering ranked #7 in the nation. The graduate rankings are computed by weighing multiple factors including research activity as described here.
This school year, Purdue Civil and Construction Engineering’s grad program, online graduate program, and undergraduate program have all been ranked in the top 10 in their respective areas. Our online graduate program was ranked #1 and our undergraduate program was ranked #3 in the nation.
“We aim to ensure our graduate students are prepared and experienced to be the next generation of leaders in engineering, education, and research,” said Ayman Habib, Interim Head of Civil and Construction Engineering and the Thomas A. Page Professor of Civil Engineering. “And it is with our graduate students’ support and tremendous work that our school continues to be a leader in research and education.”
Overall, Purdue’s College of Engineering graduate program was ranked fourth in the nation.
