Yiheng Feng, Sogand Hasanzadeh, Akanshu Sharma, and Mirian Velay are among the 46 new Purdue Engineering faculty hired or starting in 2020.

Yiheng Feng is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering, with expertise in connected and automated vehicle technologies, and intelligent traffic control.

Sogand Hasanzadeh is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering & Management. Her expertise is smart construction safety, worker-in-the-loop cyber-physical systems, and cyber-human systems. She is teaching the CE 691 graduate construction seminar course this fall.

Akanshu Sharma is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering, with expertise in enhancing the performance of reinforced concrete structures against natural and man-made hazards. He will be starting in January 2021.

Mirian Velay is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering with expertise in sustainable construction materials. She is teaching CE 497 Civil Engineering Materials this fall.
