College's new matching-gift program seeks to bolster strategic initiatives
On Oct. 19, the College of Engineering launched a matching-gift opportunity made possible by $2 million allocated to supplement donor investments in named strategic initiatives. This program calls for the College to provide a 100 percent match for new endowments created to support named sustaining impact/strategic initiatives within the schools, giving donors the opportunity to help shape the future of the school or program of their choice. A $12,500 gift contributed within a two-year period will be matched dollar-for-dollar to meet the university’s $25,000 minimum required to establish an endowment. Contributions of up to $100,000 will be matched as part of this initiative until the pool of matching funds is no longer available.
