Dylan Seesman named Young Engineer of the Year by ACEC Indiana

Dylan Seesman (BSCE 2015), PE, Principal and Director of Structural Engineering at JQOL, has been recognized as the Young Engineer of the Year by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Indiana for his outstanding talents, skills and abilities representing the next generation of engineering leaders.

Dylan Seesman (BSCE 2015), PE, Principal and Director of Structural Engineering at JQOL, has been recognized as the Young Engineer of the Year by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Indiana for his outstanding talents, skills and abilities representing the next generation of engineering leaders.

Dylan's leadership at JQOL has driven significant growth through initiatives such as developing the firm’s handbook, implementing a cell phone policy, enhancing employee training, establishing engineering project standards, improving QAQC processes, and setting technology standards.

Dylan has been actively involved in industry advocacy, serving on ACEC’s Vertical and Private Markets Committee and chairing it in the upcoming year. His efforts contributed to the adoption of Chapter 17 into building codes, enhancing building safety standards.

In 2022, Dylan founded the Indiana Chapter of the Indiana Structural Engineers Association Young Members Group, organizing monthly networking and educational events for young structural engineers. Additionally, Dylan contributes to the Minority Engineering Program of Indianapolis (MEPI), notably expanding their annual golf outing to record attendance, thereby increasing funds for student programs. Dylan is a graduate of the AIA Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program, underscoring his commitment to professional development in the AEC industry.
