Duffy featured in Purdue Journal

Dr. Vincent Duffy is featured in the latest Purdue Journal of Service-Learning & International Engagement.
Duffy, associate professor of Industrial Engineering with a joint appointment in Agricultural & Biological Engineering, was interviewed and written about by IE graduate student Apoorva Sulakhe (MSIE 2017) in the most recent issue (Volume 4, Issue 1, 2017) of the journal.
 
Duffy focuses on human factors engineering and ergonomic design, was mentored by Drs. Ferdinand Leimkuhler and Gavriel Salvendy, and taught at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and other American universities as well as Purdue. He strongly believes in developing student-centered learning environments, and has participated with Purdue College of Engineering programs such as IMPACT  (Instruction Matters: Purdue Academic Course Transformation) and the INSPIRE Research Institute for Pre-College Engineering. 
 
 
The Purdue Journal of Service-Learning (PJSL), a multi-disciplinary Open Access journal, is published annually and is available in print and online. This journal is dedicated to students who conduct projects with strong service-learning and academic civic engagement aspects. By involving students in a scholarly writing activity and showcasing the opportunities available at Purdue, the journal promotes the use and effectiveness of the pedagogy of service-learning as a high-impact learning methodology.
