Purdue Athletics once again shows success in the classroom, as 65 student-athletes from the winter sports season have been named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team in recognition of their outstanding achievements in the classroom.
The 65 winter accolades come after 89 Boilermakers were recognized in the fall. For the 2022-23 school year, Purdue student-athletes have earned 154 total Academic All-Big Ten accolades in the fall and winter seasons. The list will be completed when those competing in spring sports are honored at the end of the semester.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten, student-athletes must be enrolled full-time at their university for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. The Big Ten Conference recognized a total of 1,000 student-athletes as Academic All-Big Ten honorees for the winter sports season. That total includes 378 from swimming & diving, 196 from wrestling and 150 from basketball.
