TASI Vehicle Research Lab

This lab is used for research projects that involve use of vehicles such as ADAS and AV system test procedures and methods, CV2X technologies, applications, and deployment, naturalistic driving studies, vulnerable road user and in-cabin occupant sensing and safety research, etc. Vehicle test systems and equipment for vehicle testing that have been developed in the lab include pedestrian and bicycle mannequins and their transport systems, roadside surrogate objects (concrete divider, metal guardrail, grass, etc.). The lab is equipped with several research vehicles, cameras, 24/77GHz research radar system, differential GPS, research LiDAR system.  A leased test track in Columbus, IN has been available for TASI research since 2012.
