Lt Caitlin Pessolano

"The Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (MOVSM) is awarded to members of the Armed Forces who perform outstanding volunteer community service of a sustained, direct and consequential nature".

Lt Caitlin Pessolano consistently dedicated over 5 hours per week to these local volunteer organizations [St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Therapeoin Therapeutic Riding Center, Food Finders] totaling over 250 hours through January 2023. Lt Pessolano received recognition for her contributions with Food Finders... [she] became a leader with her church's Lafayette Urban Ministry effort by leading a group of 15 cooks and providing a monthly meal to over 40 displaced and unhoused persons... Lastly, Lt Pessolano participated in a Habitat for Humanity Mission Trip to Pensacola, FL where she led construction teams in rehabbing homes in depressed circumstances.

Lt Pessolano was recognized for her accomplishments during the PMRI seminar class on April 10, 2023 by Major Glenn Peterson and Dr. Walter Jones, Director and Chancellor, Air Force Institute of Technology.
