Undergraduates Adrian Ruiz and Qianru Sally Jia participated in the Undergraduate Research and Poster Symposium on April 12. Adrian placed 2nd overall in the poster competition. Undergraduate Yu Han will participate in the Bottomley Undergraduate Research Scholarship Poster Show on April 27.

Qianru Sally Jia worked with graduate mentor Collier Miers throughout the summer to develop a 3d printer for nanoinks. The 3d printer will allow us to print thermoelectric devices on flexible substrates. She will present her work at the SURF Symposium on August 6 in the Armstrong Building.

Highlights of the event included a student poster session, where Yash Ganatra's poster on our Passive Phase Change Materials for Thermal Management won for first place.

Work conducted by Professor Marconnet and colleagues at MIT's NanoEngineering Group during and following her postdoc has been published in Nature Communications: "Solar Steam Generation by Heat Localization" by Hadi Ghasemi, George Ni, Amy Marconnet, James Loomis, Selcuk Yerci, Nenad Miljkovic, and Gang Chen.
