Luncheon and Reception to honor Award Recipients

The Purdue University College of Engineering recently recognized several members of the Purdue University Edwardson School of Industrial Engineering during its 2025–26 graduate education awards luncheon, highlighting excellence in research, teaching, service and mentorship across the school.
 
Graduate student Zhuoli Yin, advised by Hua Cai, received the Magoon Award for Research Excellence in recognition of outstanding research accomplishments.
 
 
Graduate students Abigail Boerwinkle and Don Kavitha Perera earned the Magoon Award for Excellence in Teaching. Boerwinkle was recognized for teaching efforts under the instruction of Barrett Caldwell, while Perera was recognized for work in courses taught by Wenzhuo Wu.
 
 
 
 
Rishab Shah, advised by Aliya Scott, received the Outstanding Service Scholarship for contributions to service and leadership within the Purdue community.
 
 
 
In addition, Dr. Barrett Caldwell was honored with the Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award, recognizing his commitment to supporting and mentoring graduate students.
