Virginia Shepardson Serna
Virginia Shepardson Serna graduated from Purdue’s School of Industrial Engineering in 1994. She began her career at Allied Signal Aerospace in Phoenix immediately after graduation, and then completed her Master’s in Industrial Engineering from ASU in 1997.
Over the course of the last 31 years Virginia has worked across multiple functions including 22 years in Supply Chain across Operations, Quality, Six Sigma, Planning, Purchasing, Sourcing, ISC Engineering and Managing Multiple R&O Facilities within the US. Virginia worked in production and manufacturing both on the OEM and Aftermarket side during her tenure in ISC. Virginia led the Customer Support Operations including managing the Aircraft on Ground Team and Order entry for all Aero customers in Multiple sites in Europe, India and China for 4 years.

Virginia was promoted to VP of Engineering Operations where she managed and ran RDE, CAPEX, Census, Software Licenses, Indirect Costs and Footprint Strategy for over 10,000 Engineers globally. Virginia successfully expanded the Aero Footprint by opening an Engineering Center in Poland and led the Integration of Civitanavi Systems and CAES for HW. Virginia was recently appointed to Lead the Separation of Honeywell Aerospace from Honeywell International later this fall.
During her career at Honeywell Virginia has received multiple awards including the Premier Achievement Award, the Customer Leadership Award and most recently the Aero Senior Leadership Award. Virginia mentors’ females in engineering around the world and is the Keynote speaker to the largest Women’s Technical Conference in Europe for the 3rd year in a row.
Virginia is married and has 3 teenagers Tommy, Maria and Michael. In her free time Virginia enjoys travelling with her family, running, cooking and kickboxing!
