Yuehwern Yih Honored with Distinguished Achievement Award from the Chinese Institute of Engineers - USA
Yuehwern Yih, Tompkins Professor in the Edwardson School of Industrial Engineering, has been awarded the Distinguished Achievement Award from the Chinese Institute of Engineers - USA, in recognition of her significant contributions to systems engineering and supply chain management.
Founded in 1917, CIE is one of the world's oldest and most respected engineering organizations. Its Distinguished Achievement Award has been bestowed upon some of the most influential figures in science and technology, including four Nobel laureates: Dr. Tsung Dao Lee, Dr. Chen-Ning Yang, Dr. Samuel C.C. Ting, and Dr. Charles Kao, as well as Dr. Wen-Yuan Pan, known as the father of Taiwan's semiconductor industry, and Dr. Morris Chang, founder of TSMC. 

Yih's recognition places her among this prestigious group of academic pioneers and industry leaders. Her work has advanced the fields of healthcare systems engineering, global health logistics, and resilient supply chain design, impacting both scholarly research and humanitarian relief operations.
