Tony Orr Honored as Outstanding Young Alumni
Anthony “Tony” Orr (BSIE ’17) has been honored as an Outstanding Young Alumni Award recipient by the Purdue Alumni Association, celebrating his remarkable career trajectory, commitment to lifelong learning, and unwavering dedication to Purdue.
Since graduating in 2017, Orr has built an exceptional record of advancement at PepsiCo, beginning as a Supply Chain Senior Associate and quickly rising through roles in supervision, innovation, fleet engineering, and sustainability. His leadership has driven major initiatives, including helping launch the first Tesla Semi in PepsiCo’s California fleet. By 2024, Orr had been promoted to Director of Capital and Parts, reflecting his continued impact and vision within the company.
Orr’s achievements extend beyond industry. In 2020, he earned a master’s degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, supported by the prestigious MIT Supply Chain Excellence Award.

Throughout his career, Orr has remained deeply connected to Purdue and the Edwardson School. A former Vice President of the Purdue Alumni Association of Boston, he continues to volunteer his time recruiting students, mentoring undergraduates, serving on panels, and supporting key programs such as IE’s Two-Way Mentoring initiative. His leadership has been transformative for the IE capstone program, where he has guided more than ten PepsiCo-sponsored projects and earned the IE Capstone Partner of the Year Award in 2023.
